The Ledges , a pristine naturist venue, on Harriman Reservoir, is a destination for enjoying Vermont’s beauty any time of year.
Summer is the most active season as visitors from all over, hike along the wooded shoreline to enjoy nude sunbathing, swimming and boating. This spectacular setting, brings friendly like-minded folks back every year to recreate & celebrate being nude. They have the freedom to enjoy summer unencumbered.
In 2001 , the Ledges lost its nudist privileges and a town vote put a mandatory closure to the nude portion of the Harriman. Fortunately, with the support & help of individuals & organizations such as A.A.N.R., T.N.S. and N.A.C. the vote was over-turned to once again allow nude recreation at the lake. The American Association for Nude Recreation actively fights for nudists freedoms all over the country. They are a non-profit organization, that seeks to broaden people’s awareness & acceptance of nudist rights. The Naturist Society & Naturist Action committee are also great activists, preserving nudist venues & freedoms .
So, once you have enjoyed a beautiful day of activities at the lake, what next? Where to dine and where to stay?
